About

Royal Gen Empower House Project is a Washington Nonprofit Organization operating in the Spokane Valley, determined to engage young men and women coming out of the foster care system into community living through sustainable, safe and private tiny home living.

Royal Gen was inspired by the Bible verse 1Peter 2:9, which says, “But you are chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”

Ashley Abrams, the Founder, envisioned a brighter future for young people emerging from the challenging environment of the foster system, where vital support systems are often stripped away and children may experience up to 20 placements in a single year. The stark reality faced by these youths when they turn 18, finding themselves alone and without a support network, is truly distressing. They are burdened with overwhelming questions such as, “Where will I sleep?”, “Where will I eat?”, and “How do I stay safe from predators?” Recognizing this urgent need, Ashley, through heartfelt prayer, extensive research, and dedicated community outreach, conceived the idea that it is our responsibility to uplift these young individuals, embracing their struggles and guiding them into a nurturing, secure, and compassionate community. Royal Gen Empower House Project was born!
